Emergency Passports can be issued if you need to travel urgently due to a compassionate or compelling reason, such as the death or serious illness of an immediate family member or an unexpected need for urgent business travel. If you have lost your Australian Passport, or if it has been stolen, you must report this to us as soon as possible.
• You must report the loss or theft of your passport to the local authorities (Bangladesh police). We will need to sight the police report before we are able to accept an application for a new replacement passport.
• Send an email to consular.dhaka@dfat.gov.au to let us know your passport has been lost or stolen. Please attach the police report, and a scan of your passport bio-data page (if you have it), if not, please provide your full name, date of birth, and passport number, and the circumstance of the loss or theft.
